Ali York earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri in 2013 and completed her Ph.D. in Genetics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018. As part of her thesis, she worked with members at WISCIENCE on research exploring the impact of peer mentoring on first-year STEM students to help the transition from high school to the college level. In 2018 she joined the Center for Integrative Research on Cognition, Learning, and Education (CIRCLE) at Washington University as an Education Specialist. She primarily works with STEM faculty to implement more inclusive teaching strategies in the classroom and collaborates to evaluate the impact of those changes.
