Lisa Himelman is Assistant Director, Outreach and Communications in Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs at Boston University. In this role, Lisa oversees marketing and visibility efforts, develops engagement strategies, and provides operational support for the Postdoc Academy (NIH grant funded) and Inclusive STEM Teaching Project (NSF grant funded). 

Prior to BU, Lisa worked at Monmouth University in New Jersey for over a decade, first earning her master’s degree in Student Affairs and College Counseling in 2013. Following graduation, she began her tenure with the Department of Professional Counseling, serving as Director of Professional Development and Special Projects. She was responsible for the creation and implementation of continuing education programming designed to benefit graduate level counseling students, program alumni, and community mental health professionals. Lisa also holds a BS in Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont.
