Veronica Womack is a Social Psychologist and Senior Project Manager of Inclusive Learning at Northwestern University. In this position, she manages, trains, and develops content for a multi-institution, federally-funded, Inclusive STEM Teaching Project. Dr. Womack received both her B.S. in Psychology and Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Howard University and received her postdoctoral training in cardiovascular epidemiology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is an experienced facilitator and has implemented seminars on ‘contemplative and critically conscious teaching’, self-care, identifying and dealing with microaggressions, and co-creating inclusive mentoring spaces. She has also co-created content for the National Research Mentoring Network’s – Culturally Aware Mentoring Training. She incorporates mindfulness, intersectionality, health behaviors, and ‘brave space’ development into her research and workplace-based initiatives. Dr. Womack’s research and commentaries have been published in Psychosomatic Medicine, CBE—Life Sciences Education, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and TIME magazine.
